The tram is about a three-minute walk directly down the street into the Hauptplatz, also known as the city center. From there, you can get to most areas in the city. If not, it will directly connect you to a bus, and you can get throughout the entire city. You can definitely get to the main tourist attractions using public transportation, but it's certainly not a major city with an underground subway or anything like that. You can also walk through the Altstadt and the Landstrasse and walk along the Danube because you are at perfect location to explore all of these things by foot. And they are each only a few minutes away by foot. The city also has taxis and Uber, but I would recommend walking or using public transportation.
